Cottrell Trailers North Campus Expansion
Gainesville, GA

This new 545,000 SF climate-controlled manufacturing facility features high-capacity paint and post-paint operations centered on a fully integrated powder coating system. With large drying ovens, advanced automation, and dedicated fabrication, quality control, and assembly zones, the facility maximizes production efficiency. Its automated coating line delivers durable, environmentally friendly finishes through precise pretreatment, electrostatic application, and high-temperature curing.

AHA provided Mechanical and Plumbing Design services. Our designs meet stringent process and environmental control requirements, designing a compressed air central plant and high-capacity natural gas system to support manufacturing operations with reliable, efficient performance for high-volume production.

Carbice
Atlanta, GA

This 23,000 SF tenant inteior improvement serves as Carbice’s global headquarters and manufacturing facility. The headquarters portion accommodates administrative space, an employee locker room, and a break/lunchroom. The manufacturing space houses included special production gases, pressure-sensitive areas, along with compressed air for manufacturing and the R&D laboratory, and high-bay manufacturing space demand ventilation.

AHA provided LEED Fundamental and Enhanced Commissioning, Fitwel Administration, LEED Administration, and LEED MEP Documentation, MEP/FP Design, and Technology Design services.

This new 150,000 SF phased production tenant interior improvement contains manufacturing and assembly areas. The project includes an ISO 8 clean room area, injection molding, mold maintenance and storage, resin warehouse, product warehouse, loading dock, and offices.

AHA provided Laser Scanning and BIM Contractor Support, MEP/FP Design, and Structured Cabling, Security, and Audio-Visual Design services.

Project Amazon
Ridgeway, SC

This 1.5M SF renovation and expansion of an automobile factory, was undertaken to accommodate an increased production of electrical vehicles. The renovation and expansion houses a new production line, battery assembly, welding areas. The new three floor administration building which included office areas board room meeting rooms, social space, living room, open and closed offices, and collaboration spaces.

AHA provided BIM Services. Our 3D Spatial Coordination and As-Built Verification/Documentation services included BIM Coordination meetings, we addressed coordination comments, ran clash detections for Plumbing and Mechanical systems with other disciplines prior to meetings to find the best routings for the systems, provided dimensional drawings and developed as-built models.

Georgia Tech Research Institute Cobb South Campus Buildings L12 and L22
Marietta, GA

This conversion turned a Lockheed Martin property into Georgia Tech Research Institute’s South Cobb campus. It needed to be converted for use as cyber security and defense-related research, includes the 245,000 SF renovations of Buildings L-12 and L-22. L-22 is approximately 115,000 SF and will house offices, computing laboratories, electronics laboratories and manufacturing and assembly research spaces. L-12, approximately 135,000 SF, is for laboratory assembly and manufacturing.

AHA provided MEP/FP Design services. The project was executed under a design-build contract with an aggressive delivery date. It won the DBIA 2020 Best Research Facility and 2020 AGC Build Georgia Award 1st Place.

Americold Gateway
Atlanta, GA

This new 148′ tall, 201,000 SF ASRS freezer structure at Americold’s Gateway campus is a rack-supported facility, which houses 97,000 SF of -10 degree freezer space. Attached to the freezer are 48,000 SF of truck and rail dock buildings, and the 27,000 SF ASRS buffer freezer building, along with 18,000 SF of office.

AHA provided BIM services. We developed a time-based construction process visualization, a 4-D BIM simulation, that focused on installation of the IPMs, racks, roof, and blocks of the surrounding low-rise structures next to the 148’ freezer structure.

Jet Aviation
Bedford, MA

The new 40,000 SF fixed-based operations (FBO) addition, and new stand-alone 15,000 SF hangar which includes an office, reception area, explosion proof paint rooms, and maintenance shop are located in the commercial aviation section of the Hanscom Air Force Base and are overseen by Mass-Port.

AHA provided MEP/FP Design, Energy Modeling, and LEED Fundamental and Enhanced Commissioning services on the two buildings. The design included an Aqueous Film Forming Foam fire suppression system.

University of Richmond Boiler Plant Upgrade
Richmond, VA

The University’s existing Boiler Plant suffered from years of deferred maintenance that caused it to produce steam inefficiently for campus wide heating. The renovation upgraded the plant to high-efficiency boilers and modernized its distribution, equipment, and controls. These resulted in immediate reduction of carbon emissions.

AHA provided MEP/FP Design, MEP Commissioning, and Laser Point Cloud Scanning services, while serving as prime consultant. During the project planning phases, the University of Richmond engaged AHA to provide Advisory services. We performed a Facility Condition Assessment.

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport Technology Campus

The phased renovation of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport’s one story Technology Campus building includes updating office spaces used by airport planning, faculties, and construction departments.  

AHA provided Structured Cabling, Network Hardware, and Security Video Surveillance System Design services.  To accommodate the occupied portions of the building during construction, AHA developed a strategy to maintain uninterrupted services to portions of the building not part of the active renovation phase.

New England Biolabs
Rowley, MA

This new 30,000 SF state-of-the-art, fully GMP-compliant cleanroom facility has 10,000 SF of ISO 7 and ISO 8 cGMP clean rooms, 10,000 SF of R&D Lab and Quality Control, and 10,000 SF of administration and GMP warehouse.

AHA provided MEP/FP Design, LEED Administration, LEED MEP Documentation, LEED Energy Modeling, LEED Implementation services. The mechanical and electrical infrastructure designs support the clean room program including HVAC, generator, centralized UPS, purified water, validated compressed air, and high pressure steam and clean steam for process.
