Gwinnett County Justice & Administration Center Nash Building Courtrooms
Lawrenceville, MA

This 12,400 SF interior modifications project renovated 23 courtrooms. to the existing Third Floor of the Nash Courthouse for completion of two new courts and associated support spaces. The overall renovation area is approximately 12,400 SF, which includes existing-to-remain core areas such as restrooms, storage, and mechanical spaces.

AHA provided MEP/FP Design and Audio-Visual Design services.

Boston Society of Architects
Boston, MA

This 20,000 SF two floor tenant interior improvement is located on Atlantic Wharf. The ground floor consists of an entry lobby with a grand stair and 2-stop elevator. The second floor space houses open office space, private offices, conference rooms as well as undesignated space for design exhibits and community outreach.

AHA provided MEP/FP Design, LEED Administration, LEED MEP Documentation, and LEED Energy Modeling services.

Word of Faith EpiCenter
Austell, GA

The new 107,000 SF Word of Faith Family Life Center includes a gym, day care, youth center, kitchen, bowling alley, theater, meeting room, and office space.

AHA provided MEP/FP Design, and LEED Administration services. The challenge was to ensure a comfortable environment without detracting from the overall visual appeal, AHA’s designs included a lighting design that created a warm and invited space out of a 40-ft atrium.

America’s Test Kitchen
Boston, MA

This 52,000 SF tenant interior improvement is home to ATK’s television show and includes a 15,000 SF non-industrial kitchen with immediate access to outdoor grilling space. There is also a 2,500 SF TV recording studio and production space for photography. The office space is primarily open, with a couple of closed offices, meeting rooms, and collaboration spaces. ATK undertook this project to rebrand, increase public visibility, and accommodate the growing staff and the kitchen.

AHA provided MEP/FP Design and Advisory services. Engaged by ATK during the project’s early planning phase, AHA’s Advisory services including a series of site assessments to identify the most viable and cost-effective location.

Philips Academy Andover, Oliver Wendall Holmes Library
Andover, MA

The OWHL renovation restored and refurbished the historic interior. The 1929 central five-floor stacks structure was converted to three floors, and repurposed for a climate-controlled special collections vault, classrooms, group study rooms, and new restroom/elevator core. Areas of the 1989 addition were also reconfigured for library services, student study areas, a new climate-controlled Archives/Special Collections center, and Library staff space.

Kennesaw State University Soccer Stadium
Kennesaw, GA

The new 8,325 seat soccer stadium has 40,000 SF of interior and 120,000 SF of exterior space.

AHA provided MEP/FP Design services. The design accounts for 1,500 light fixtures, 500,000 LEDs in the scoreboard, 20 miles of electrical conduit, and 70 miles of electrical wire. The new 900,000 SF, eight level parking deck. The design involves storm drainage, fire protection, and underground storm retention beneath lowest parking level.

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport Technology Campus

The phased renovation of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport’s one story Technology Campus building includes updating office spaces used by airport planning, faculties, and construction departments.  

AHA provided Structured Cabling, Network Hardware, and Security Video Surveillance System Design services.  To accommodate the occupied portions of the building during construction, AHA developed a strategy to maintain uninterrupted services to portions of the building not part of the active renovation phase.

City of Boston Engine 17 Fire Station
Boston, MA

This new 18,000 SF fire station replaces the former station built in 1928 on the same site. It houses two apparatus bays and one chief’s apparatus bay with adjacent technical spaces. The bays are served by 3 fire poles, 2 stairs, and a 2 stop elevator. Also included is a public entrance, patrol desk, an open concept kitchen and dayroom, fitness area, lockers, changing rooms, and sleeping and office spaces, and storage areas.

AHA is providing LEED Fundamental and Enhanced Commissioning; LEED Administration, MEP Documentation, and Energy Modeling; MEP/FP Design; and Structured Cabling Design services.

Department of Housing & Urban Development Wilber Cohen Building Voice of America
Washington, DC

The full renovation of the 40,000 SF Voice of America’s Headquarters located the Wilbur Building, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, accommodates VOA’s in-house technology operations. The space enabled continuous operations to a world wide audience while meeting GSA’s cutting-edge officing strategy.

AHA provided MEP/FP Design services. The infrastructure preserves the building’s its historic nature while optimizing energy efficiency.

Department of Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic
Zebulon, GA

This 59,000 SF single story new construction VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic includes imaging suites, optical, triage, counseling, examination, administrative, utility type spaces for public facilities, waiting, and equipment areas.

AHA provided Commissioning, Technology Design, and MEP/FP Design services. Our Technology Design included complete telecom and special systems design for the rack room layouts, cable tray, paging, nurse call, security, wireless access points, data and voice for the entire facility.

Fenway Park
Boston, MA

AHA has provided MEP/FP Design services on over 70 projects throughout the historic 1912 baseball stadium.

Projects include the addition of new Green Monster seats, Right Field Roof Deck, new and renovated concessions, new retail stores, clubhouse and batting cages, along with electrical support for new and replacement scoreboards.

Gwinnett County Justice and Administration Center
Lawrenceville, GA

The new 200,000 SF four level building will include 10 courtrooms, judges’ chambers, jury deliberation rooms, a jury assembly room, central and courtroom detainee holding areas, a central security screening lobby, a mechanical plant, and shell space for future expansion. The new parking garage capacity will be 1,500 vehicles and, along with the new building, will connect to the existing building via pedestrian bridges and an elevated plaza.

AHA provided MEP/FP Design, LEED Administration, LEED MEP Documentation, and Energy Modeling services. The project won a AGC Build Georgia Award – 1st Place.

AHA has provided MEP/FP Design, Technology Design, Advisory, and Energy Modeling services on numerous NPS properties including the Gateway National Park’s Visitor Center, Historic House, and Theater; the Dorchester Monument; and Netherlands Carillon, and the Lowell National Historic Park, as part of an IDIQ contract.

The Carter Woodson Home Restoration Phase II allowed Building 1540/42’s, which is adjacent to the Carter Woodson Home proper, to be used for administrative offices, additional exhibit and exhibit support space, and educational space with visitor orientation and engagement, including interpretative media to enhance the visitor experience. The restoration provides space the design, fabrication, and installation of exhibits.
